We’re bringing fusion energy to the world…one community at a time.
At Type One Energy, community engagement is at the core of how we build and deploy commercial fusion energy. We strongly believe that fusion will provide affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy to communities everywhere, including those historically underserved and disproportionately impacted by energy-related challenges.
We approach engagement as a long-term commitment in the communities where we operate. This means listening carefully, sharing knowledge openly, and ensuring that information about fusion is accessible, clear, and relevant.

Principles
Our engagement is grounded in three principles:
Partnership and Reciprocity
We engage with communities as partners, not audiences. We aim to build relationships that are respectful, constructive, and mutually beneficial.
Transparency and Trust
We provide clear, factual information about fusion science and technology, safety, and development timelines. Trust is built through consistency, openness, and accountability.
Education and opportunity
We invest in programs that expand access to STEM education, support workforce pathways, and strengthen public understanding of fusion. This includes K–12 initiatives, university partnerships, and community-based learning opportunities
In Practice
What this looks like in practice
- Collaborating with local institutions, schools, and organizations
- Supporting workforce development in regions where we operate
- Creating accessible educational resources on fusion energy
- Participating in community events and public forums
- Building sustained relationships that extend beyond individual projects
Our Commitment
Community engagement is not separate from our work. It is part of how we do it.
We are committed to building fusion energy in a way that is transparent, responsible, and beneficial to the communities where we operate over the long term.
