Patricia Schouker

Senior Vice President, Global Affairs

Patricia Schouker is Senior Vice President of Global Affairs at Type One Energy. Previously, she led the nuclear and fusion portfolio at the British Embassy in Washington D.C., advancing UK-US cooperation across government, industry and capital markets. She was the architect of the UK-US Technology Prosperity Deal and played a key role in advancing cooperation on fusion and fission regulation. Working with policymakers, regulators and companies on both sides of the Atlantic, she helped shape policy, build partnerships and support commercial deployment.

Patricia’s career spans government, the private sector and international institutions. Her expertise covers nuclear and fusion energy, electricity markets, oil and gas, energy security, critical infrastructure, cybersecurity and geopolitical risk. Earlier in her career, she held energy-focused positions at the European Commission in Brussels and the Embassy of Belgium in Washington, after beginning her public policy career as a parliamentary attaché at the French National Assembly.

Recognized as one of the energy sector’s 40 most influential individuals, Patricia has written for the National Interest, Pipeline Oil and Gas Magazine, AFP, BBC, WSJ and FT. She is also a frequent international media contributor on energy security and international economic affairs.

She studied law, international relations and security in Paris, London, Geneva and Washington, D.C., and sustainability and environmental management at Harvard University. She is a Non-Resident Fellow at the Colorado School of Mines, and the Fletcher School at Tufts University, and a Fellow at the Global Center for Energy Analysis.
